Introduction
We've learned something very interesting about ourselves - we don't mind getting up early for money. Strangely, the prospects of earning money have made our school day more productive too! Could Dad have been right all along? You know, the "Without character and responsibility, children, all learning is for naught," speech? Yes, he really says, "for naught." Did you get that one when you were young?
How about the, "When I was a child I had to walk to school in the snow and rain," speech? This is one of our favorites - our Dad's lived in Fort Branch most of his life and he walked across the street to go to school! "Across the street, Dad, you walked across the street!", we say. We never make progress pointing that truth out as he quickly responds, "Ah, but there was snow and rain!" We have to remind him that Papaw had "to walk five miles in snow waist deep - up hill - both ways!"
We attend a private school and our parents believe that "shepherding" not "socialization" is the key to a good education, but alas, we won't have any "walking to school" stories. Do you know what that means? Eee gads, the legacy dies with us!
That's just not right, so with a little American ingenuinity and some of Rooster Cogburn's "True Grit," and under the watchful eye of our parents - we offer our pet sitting services to the fine citizens of Fort Branch Indiana upon these terms and conditions:
Our Service Area
Our service area is the town of Fort Branch, Indiana. We've lived here our whole lives and wish to provide pet sitting services to our neighboring residents. Rural pet sitting services or pet sitting services in neighboring towns may be available, but these prices are our local rates. If we have to enlist our parents to drive us - rates will necessarily be higher.
Pet Sitting Services
A pet sitting visit lasts about a half hour and can include dogs, cats, birds, rodents - you name it, if Seth won't touch it, then we probably can't do it. Otherwise everything is fair game. We always come in pairs to your home and these rates are based upon that time frame, dogs require two visits per day and cats and other pets generally only one visit. Longer visits can be arranged to provide additional services or caring for multiple pets, additional fees apply at our hourly rate.
We need to know about all the pets you have, even if you've only retained us for a certain pet. We usually don't require an extra fee for gerbils, hamsters, fish and the like, provided cleaning cages or other time consuming chores aren't needed.
Holiday Schedule
We school year round, so we have a different schedule than public school. We have three breaks per year during the holiday seasons, this schedule permits us to assist you during the most hectic and stressful time of the year.
However, we expect to have a high demand for our services and booking our pet sitting services over holidays is on a first come first serve basis. Two of us always visit your pets and our available time is limited, of course, holidays are the busiest time. We require a $ 25 non-refundable deposit to schedule pet sitting services around these holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Mothers Day, Memorial Day, Fathers Day, Columbus Day, & Independence Day and generally any federal holiday where our services are in high demand.
Our fee schedule for holidays are time and a half . We recommend you make reservations early, this would also be necessary for public school vacation weeks.
Fee Schedule
The time for an initial consultation and get aquainted period with your pets is free, if we pick up your key during this time the key management fee does apply.
During this visit we get to meet you and your pets, complete necessary paperwork, be shown around your house and receive your instructions. We also need time to get to know your pets while you are present and learn of any particular care or behavioral issues. We want your pets to be comfortable with us and to be happy and cared for properly while you are away.
Basic starting rate is $ 7.50 per local visit, this would provide pet sitting care for 1 dog or cat or other small pets. Additional cats or dogs are $ 2 each. Neighbor and Police notification is $ 5.00, this insures everyone knows we are supposed to be at your house. Key management is $ 5.00 and applies for both picking up and dropping off your keys. Our hourly rates are $ 15.00 per hour for other requested services and time and half for holidays.
Hourly rates may apply, for example, if you forgot to buy food or cat litter and we have to go to the store and get it - the cost of those goods and our time would be added to your bill.

A free bonus is no kennel smell! Hurray! With in home pet sitting your pets are not traumatized by taking them to a kennel for boarding, you aren't stressed out and after you get to know us a phone call is all is needed to arrange our services.
